Motivated by these scriptures… I decided to pray for the day…

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. ¹² You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. ¹³ You shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart. ¹⁴ I will be found by you, says the Lord. (Jer 29:12-14)

The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. (James 5:16)

Death made use of the one individual to seize the sovereignty, all the more shall those who receive God’s overflowing grace and gift of righteousness reign as kings in Life through the one individual, Jesus Christ. (Rom 5:17)

and made us kings and priests to our God, and we will reign on earth.” (Rev 5:10)

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Jude 20

I was reading and learning about coming to God with my whole heart, being whole hearted in prayer, instead of just my thoughts and being blasé, I also was learning about being a king of life…

So I stood in my bedroom and prayed in tongues, strong whole hearted tongues… I decided if people could go to work for 8 hours in a day I could pray for the same amount of time.. at least for a day.

So I began, after a while I started to get really serious, and really intense, being totally wholehearted instead of the normal “she’ll be right” kiwi attitude. I prayed and I prayed and I prayed…

After about 7 hours something changed… my tongues started to come out of my mouth like a river of living water, electricity, life, joy, purity. I believe the work had been done on the inside… Jude said”build up your most holy faith praying in the Holy Spirit”.

As I continued to pray with this living life coming out of my mouth, I watched and saw angels dropping into what looked like a field in the Spirit about 30m away from me…

It felt as if the Lord had been building me on the inside, and when the work was done, the attention of my tongues, which is Holy Spirit prayer, turned outward.

I imagine it like a slide on a sound machine, everything was put on full, full esteem, full confidence, full identity, full faith, full holiness.

I stopped praying in tongues and went to visit my friend Ash to tell him what had just happened.

I noticed that I had to pray for a couple of minutes before the switch happened in me and the tongues became full of living life again, its as if normal life was draining, clouding or polluting the work done.

The bible says… “For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the spring of living waters, and cut them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. “.. (Jer 2:13) We seem to drain the living water (Holy Spirit), in the book of Acts they got filled one day and then they got filled the next day also..

Anyway I went to the nightly prayer meeting I was attending…

There was a guy there called Richard, he had been in and out of mental institutions for years… we prayed for him,

I knew I was a king of life, I knew God had given me authority, so I commanded him to be free in Jesus name, what was different this time is that my word had power within itself to complete itself, the word was alive, if the job was not done my word would go and get more of what was needed, I knew my word was final…  it was such an amazing experience. What puzzled me even to this day, I felt the power of God come upon me not through me.

Maybe that is what is meant when Jesus said, “Most certainly, I tell you, hereafter you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

Anyway the next day we saw Richard in town, and he was free, totally free, the dark oppression that was normally around his head and eyes was gone. He was as free as I’ve seen anyone… Praise God.

It could be said that most of the time when people are praying in tongues, they are really praying for themselves, building themselves up…

“He who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves” (1 Cor 14:4), “Build up your most holy faith praying in the Holy Spirit”, (Jude 20) “In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness; for we do not know what prayers to offer nor in what way to offer them. But the Spirit Himself pleads for us in yearnings that can find no words“. (Rom 8:26)

Tongues is by far the most powerful of the gifts because it unlocks you and all the other gifts.
