Stage 2: The Resurrection – the inner court, Building your house!
You were Buried with him in baptism, wherein also you are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who has raised him from the dead (Col 2:12)
Just like you look at the cross and it tells you things, e.g. you are a sinner and need a saviour, so the resurrection tells you things, it tells you who you are now, where you fit in the world, and what God thinks about you now.
- For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God (Col 3:3)
- Died with Him (2 Tim 2:11, Rom 6:8, Col 2:20, 2 Cor 5:14)
- Baptised in to Christ, (Rom 6:3)
Just like you have been taught to cling to the old rugged cross we need to work this also into our faith, there is no religious dead works that you can bring to the resurrection, just the finished work of Christ, there is no repentance, grovelling, old mind, old ways just a new man, hidden inside the son of God, if you learn to dwell here (strive to) you will cease from your old life. It will be a new and living way for you to walk in, here you find out how God has saved you, here you will find out that you are brand new, risen, hidden in Him, safe in Him…. for there will be only one man saved from this earth and all the others saved will be hidden in Him.
Learn to dwell here, learn to hide in Him (you already are but your faith needs to rise from the dead) Learn to have only His life and bring nothing of your old life with you, learn to have the testimony of Jesus (Rev 19:10).
What is Jesus testimony?
He……. then so have I, as I am hidden in Him, with His life!
- ….been forgiven
- ….has risen
- ….is holy
Build your house on the foundation of the cross, the cross is only the foundation not the whole house, you can not live in only a foundation, with that kind of thinking all that’s left for you is to just pitch your tent as many many do.
Move on to the resurrection as Paul continually exhorts you to do….
On the contrary, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for gratifying your earthly cravings (Rom 13:14)
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him (Col 1:15-17, 3:10)
For all of you who have been baptized into Christ, have clothed yourselves with Christ (Gal 3:27)
It is no longer you who lives but Christ that lives, and the life I now live I live by faith in (inside) the son of God, (Gal 2:20)
But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.(2 Cor 3:18)
