I had a vision one day of an alien entering through a ventilation vent which was above a closed door.
As I pondered the meaning, I realized that God was saying, The alien represented a being that is not from this world, in other words a demonic being from the kingdom of darkness. The closed door represents being hidden in Christ, and the vent represents you venting your stress and frustration.
So the enemy enters through your venting system, so that is what they look for, how do you vent? Is it through anger? lust, gambling? How do you release the internal frustration and stresses? What is your coping mechanism? Is it the enemies territory?
If you consider it sinful and it crosses your conscience then it is entry point for the enemy to come and oppress you.
Just a quick side note: Christians can not be possessed by a demon.
A Christian can’t be possessed in their spirit because Christ already possesses them, however their soul which is their thinking and desires, can definitely be oppressed. For example, you can be Christ-like in your spirit, which you are because He is there, but you can have a spirit of bitterness or something similar oppressing your mind, this is called the spirit of your mind, and whatever dwells in your mind and heart makes up the spirit of your mind. So that is not to be confused with you the new creation. Satan is called Lord of the flies, so most of the time these spirits are annoying pesky things, not huge terrifying powers as some would think, remember you have all authority over all the power of the enemy.
God said to Cain in Genesis 4:7, Is it not true that if you do what is right, you will be fine? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at the door. It desires to dominate you, but you must subdue him.” So sin is intelligent, it desires, it watches and it is a being.
Jesus said in John 8:34, Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.” When Jesus said very truly, that means He really meant it, so take note! So whoever gives the enemy an inch, he will take a mile.
The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 6:16, Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living.
There are many ways people try to overcome sin, the latest one is, “I am under grace” because there is no law, therefore there is no sin. However this understanding is a little immature. Yes all things are lawful for you, Yes you are under grace not law, Yes you are fully accepted in Christ. However you can not swim in the sewer and not expect to get sick, you can not walk hand in hand with the enemy and not expect to get affected. Yes you are free to drink poison but it is not good for you. Grace is not a free ticket to sin, it is a free ticket to walk with God inspite of your performance.
Romans 6:1-2, Shall we continue to sin that grace may abound? God forbid! The bible is very quick to say that you do not continue in sin, so you who say “I don’t care if I sin, I am under grace”, you are being extremely immature.
The other way people try to overcome sin is with religion. This is do not touch, do not taste, do not handle. The apostle Paul says this is weak to the core because it doesn’t control the flesh. It creates further frustration and striving, condemnation and guilt. He said rather consider yourself dead to sin and alive to God, walk in the newness of life. In other words when you start living in the spirit and being who you really are, the new creation, this is how you conquer sin.
So be transformed by the renewing of your mind, for it is only your mind that you need to overcome and everything else will fall into place.
You are a new creation, born from above, you have been immersed into sinful flesh, you have been placed into a body of death, learn to overcome by transforming your thinking to know that you are in His image, you are like your Father God, be God like, for you are one with Him right now, What is God like? He is gentle in humble in heart, He is pure and holy, He is pure love, He is pure light and so are you, don’t allow this earth thinking to keep you bound. You are not the life you think you are, that old thinking is what needs to be transformed.
Romans 12:2; And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Colossians 3:10; and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him.
Ephesians 4:23-24; ...and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
So its only your thinking that needs to catch up, catch it up and you will not be a slave of sin. There is no freedom unless you become a slave of righteousness. In other words unless you align your thinking with heaven you will not experience living in true freedom.
Slavery is not your portion, stay away from it!
