Galatians 2:20

Galatians-2-20.mp3

So bible clearly shows that you are perfect with Christ’s life. How come then I can choose to sin? A perfect spirit couldn’t do that, how can a spirit walk in the flesh? How come it says if you say you have no sin, then the truth is not in you? Is there are place in me that is able to choose wrong, that is not Christ and not me?

I love this scripture because it makes all the other identity scriptures fit into the real world because it shows the old and new you.

I believe there is part of you that is redeemed, adopted, washed in the blood and the other part of you is born from above, brand new, can not sin! I believe the redeemed part is the soul, but it isn’t your life anymore it died and paid the punishment for its sins, however it lives, it lives because God wants to rescue its information, earth experience, its unique identity?

Just how does that work?

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me

Lets break it this scripture down, at first glance this scripture appears to be a paradox, however we will see it is not but an amazing revealer of God’s salvation.

I have been crucified with Christ; This part is straight forward, here is a quick breakdown. The soul that sins shall die (Ezek 18:4,20) We were judge guilty and were put to death, however Jesus did the dying. You have totally paid for your sins, even though Jesus did the paying. The ‘I’ mentioned here is me, my soul, my life. Here are some scriptures to say you died with Him (2 Tim 2:11, Rom 6:8, Col 2:20, Col 3:3, 2 Cor 5:14)

nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me: So I’m dead but I’m alive, but ‘I’ is not me… mmm that’s as clear as mud isn’t it!

God killed your soul life, or rather your living soul, and then rose you up a brand new life born again in Christ.

However you dwell in the same architecture, a fully functional soul, just as Jesus did even though He is identified as a Spirit (1 Cor 15:45) that is why you can only go as far as your soul, your beliefs, your faith, knowledge, understanding, skills, hang-ups and hassles, your conscious life. It was zeroed when you got saved, but if you allow it to listen to the flesh you will get tricked. Until you purge that old life (remove the MUD from the ‘nevertheless I live’) you will keep walking it. The soul is very intangible, its not solid, its easily changeable, its like software, its made of thoughts and desires, change those thoughts and desires and you change the soul.

Even though you be complete in Christ you dwell according to your beliefs.

The soul is so easily changed that if you believe you are the righteousness of God in Christ you will experience righteousness victory over sin, but if you don’t you will struggle with sin. Its like the armour of God each one of those items is a belief, if you believe you are perfectly righteous in Christ you are wearing the breastplate of righteousness, if you don’t you are not wearing it therefore your heart faith and other vital faith organs are open for attack, (breastplate protects the torso and all the vital organs).

Fact vs Faith

You will dwell in life according to your beliefs, not the facts, your beliefs about the facts, its called faith, you right now are dwelling exactly where your beliefs are even though Jesus said it is finished. In the soul realm (thoughts) you dwell by faith however in the spirit realm you don’t dwell by faith for the fact is it is finished. So though it maybe finished and you are completely perfect with in Christ’s life, you only dwell or rather experience life wherever your thoughts are. So if you think you are a unclean (faith) although you are actually righteous (fact), you will experience the results of that thinking, e.g. If I take you to dinner and pay for your meal, believe it or not it is paid for, so the fact is its paid for, but whether you believe it or not is up to your faith. The fact is you are complete in Christ, the faith is whether you believe it or not.

and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. There is a part of you that is alive but it is not your life, your soul, it stands in the middle between two beings, it can live in the flesh, or it can live in the spirit. It can decide to kick the cat and do and think all kind of sinful things. However it is not you because you died and were born-again. You will take this item called your soul to judgement day and everything that can not enter heaven will be burnt up in it, but you will be saved because Christ who now is your life ensures you are saved.

Your soul is your conscious connector to the body, the architecture of this body is the soul is the steering wheel, it steers this life, like a balloon is filled with air, it needs to be filled with your spirit, your new life which is Christ. If its filled with the wrong air, it is being deceived as you are not the wrong air, its the flesh (old encoded life) or the enemy through the flesh (sin within you sinning). You the inner man need to take control of this outer man and possess this outer life.

But the life that you now live in the flesh this is the soul we are talking about. You know it well you have lived it all your life. You need to ensure it looks at Christ to see that Christ is your new life. Whatever is true of Christ is true of you, He is your life and you are inside Him. And as you behold Him as in a mirror and realise you are looking at your new life it changes you from glory to glory (2 Cor 3:18).

Your soul is not to get its identity, thoughts and desires from your old dead life but it is to look at Christ and be transformed, realising Christ is its new life. This is what we are saying, see your new life and believe it, proclaim it, live it. The opposite is walking in the dead mans identity.

So am I a soul? because on this earth I am so limited by it? No ‘I’ only dwell in one, I am in Christ. But I need a soul to live on earth. Jesus was also a spirit that dwelt in His soul, e.g. who touched me He said, He was able to be both very spiritual and very physically aware.

This is the perfect picture of inner man outer man, you are the inner man who is eternally alive in Christ and you live in the outer man who is alive but its not your life now, it needs to become one with the inner man.

Soul is made up of mind and heart, Jesus supplies us both a new mind and new heart in Him, it gets lived through your redeemed unique identity called your soul. Because your soul can easily be tricked you can be perfect in Christ and simultaneously be in sin and error by having wrong beliefs and choices. One is you and one was you but is not your life, though it be fully functional.

To those who can accept this, this what communion is all about, communion covers the first born (see Goshen, blood over the doors and the ate the flesh of the lamb inside the house) this whole salvation plan of God is to save the soul, the first born. His way of saving it is killing its life, rising you up in Christ perfect and then joining with the soul again so your new thoughts and desires with transform your soul. This is why scholars say the bible paradoxically talks in terms of you were saved, past tense and are being saved present tense.

Here is that scripture again

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me

Here it is with some paraphrases.

My soul was crucified with Christ however the architecture of my being is still functional and though I still dwell in it, it is not I, Christ is my new life, therefore I look to Him to know who I am now.

or

My outer man was crucified with Christ, however it is still alive, yet it is not I for I was born again in Christ, who is my inner man, now the life I live in the outer man I live by faith inside the inner man.

or

I (soul) the first born was crucified with Christ, nevertheless the soul still exists, but my life is not in my soul anymore, my life is now in the second born (spirit), however I the second born life live in the first born life to rescue its unique earth lessons.

or

God judged my life guilty and crucified me with Christ, so I died, however I am still alive, but not in the same fashion as what I was, it appears my old life still lives but it doesn’t, my life is hidden in Christ in God, and the life I live in this body realm I live by faith in the new life within me.

or

My soul died, but it is still here, but its no longer my life because it was killed, its Christ that lives, even though my souls life was killed I still dwell in it and because He has joined Himself to my soul it will be saved.

or

My conscious life was killed, nevertheless it lives, for I need it for functioning in this world, but most of it is not I for I am in Christ, most of this conscious life is brain chatter, trillions of neurons encoded with my old life, chattering away, I wrestle with it daily to bring it into faith and dwelling in Christ.

or

I died with Christ and was risen in Him, however I have to live in this body for a while longer and I live in this body though the thought realm (soul) I put all my faith and identity in Christ and me hidden in Him.

or

I (soul) am crucified with Christ : nevertheless I (spirit) live ; yet not I (soul), but Christ (spirit) lives in me: and the life which I (spirit) now live in the flesh  I (spirit) live by the faith (immersing my soul in the) of the Son of God (spirit), who loved me, and gave himself for me (soul).

or

Though I live in the outer man, I am not the outer man, I am the inner man, I live in the outer man causing it to have faith in the inner man.

or

God killed me because I was a vile thing, however God did the dying, but because God did the dying I still live, but even though live, the ‘I’ that was alive is actually dead now. It doesn’t feel that way but it’s true, it was an invisible work He did in me in an instant, a miracle, a transfer of my life out of my soul into His spirit,  it’s not going to happen one day it has happened when I got born-again, I am a brand new life born of His spirit.

The Alpha and Omega came into me and somehow took the essences of ‘me – my unique personality’ out of my old life and hid it in Him, it’s hard to believe but God transferred ‘me’ into Christ’s life within me, and now I have His life, not a life like His but His life.  Just as He is perfect now I am perfect because I have His life, God’s life; there is only one thing left to do now… I have to retrain my thinking to understand what happened so my brain can catch up, it is a faith step to live this life understanding that I’m inside Him with His life as I can’t see that I’m inside Him in the natural.

God loves me and gave me The Alpha and Omega’s life for that’s the only way I will become perfect, as one has to be perfect to get into heaven and there is a lot more to being perfect than just having your sins washed away. By having The Alpha and Omega’s life now I have The Alpha and Omega’s perfect, spirit, mind, nature, everything that’s His life is mine, His perfect inner life within me is literal, its real and its now, not just ‘one day in the future’, its now! my brain just has to catch up, as my beliefs catch up all the old things that have passed away will not be able to remain to trick me anymore, because knowing this truth of who I am now will make me free of them! Praise God, I am complete in Christ and it is finished. (also see ‘sin‘ study)

————————

When your soul was crucified (applied when Christ entered your life) all things became new, [apart from the body of death] these are the facts, what you believe (soul) about the facts is where you dwell. The old man was done away with, why would you keep its identity?

Sure its hard coded into your body of death [brain and physical heart] but this is the battle over sin and death, no other time in all of eternity can you be righteous and battle sin this way, sifting through your old thoughts and desires. (This is the main reason God gave you a shadow, He didn’t have to build life this way, Paul said when I want to do good evil is present with me. Be on your guard its always looking for an opening).

So you live in old architecture and though it feels like the old is you, it isn’t, its just you have allowed the old identity to share it with you, if you turn the eyes of your heart to Christ and see you are in Him and He is perfect, you will not allow the old you [brain, physical heart encoding] and sin to share your mortal body anymore.

This being runs on thoughts (soul), thoughts run the body, stand up, sit down, get some food I’m hungry, this is where you the new born again spirit dwell, just don’t get tricked by your old life into thinking those thoughts are you.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. (2 Cor 10:3-6)

There is apart of you that lives in faith and has to be redeemed and there is part of you that doesn’t need faith, or grace for it is perfect and it is complete in Christ. Your spirit is in Christ, it is forever saved, but your soul is in a intangible realm of thoughts and desires, it needs faith, it needs grace, it needs redemption, it needs cleansed, it needs transformation, it dwells not according to the finished facts but according to its beliefs of those finished facts, it is a realm of believe it or not. This is the soul that God is saving but as far as your concerned you are saved.

Gal 2:20 it such a complex scripture, it shows us the old and the new, the perfect and the imperfect, the facts and the faith, the salvation plan of God.

You can wake up tomorrow morning and walk in the flesh, however you are not the flesh you are a new life in Christ.

I (spirit) am forever alive because I am one with Christ, my soul is saved by putting on Christ by faith.

{I will try and reword this article later because it still a bit complex}

Confused?

Just know that your old life is dead and you have been born a new in Christ, however your old life appears to live, but that is only the physical encoding in your brain and physical heart, you have to live here in the control room (soul) for its the place where you steer the car from (life from), from now on live by faith inside Christ, for He is your new life, whatever is true of Him is true of you. Ignore the brain and heart of this body of death if it disagrees with Christ in you, for its neurons are encoded with the old life thoughts and desires; control, remap and transform these neurons to align with Christ, your new life. (Col 3:3-4)

You are perfect, complete and righteous get that MUD off you and out of your head and heart!
