That’s all we are doing? Catching up with what Jesus did on the cross, we think we are one thing when really we are another.
We think we are humans that have made a mental decision to follow Jesus, but the second we received Him we became much much more.
When He came into us, He performed a miracle, a new birth, a transfer, and applied everything He did at the cross at the moment of His entry in to us.
The bible says we were crucified with Christ, and that we rose in Him. The moment He came into us the applied that death and that resurrection. We didn’t feel it, it happened so quickly, our brain was not aware of the event but it happened.
The bible says that the old you died, and you the new life got born from above, a second birth (John 3: 1-8)
For the rest of our time on earth we will be playing catch up with what Jesus has said is already finished, we will be discovering what it means when it says we are complete in Christ. Notice these events in the bible are in past tense not future tense.
Most Christians think that God is transforming them from a state of yuk to a state of perfection however that transformation has already happened, we just have to awake to it and discover it. We only live the old ways because we live in a brain that thinks we still are the old ways.
There is a newness of life for Christians to walk in, once you discover this new life (and that you are not a new man and and old man mixed as one, but only new) you will wonder what kind of messed up gospel you have been believing, you will see the religion that has been trapping you into fighting fights the Lord has already won.
So rest in knowing it is finished and you are complete, whether you know it, perceive it or experience it, but don’t rest in that old life it will keep you spiritually poor, blind, wretched and naked, walk-in the newness of life.
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Rom 6:4)
By a new and living way, which he has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh (Heb 10:20)
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.(2 Cor 5:17)
Work through this identity series, and you will wrestle with your old identity until you finally overcome it, 5 steps forward and maybe two steps back but keep working it, then watch out world a Child of God has awakened.
For the strong desire of every living thing is waiting [with out stretched necks] for the revelation of the sons of God (Rom 8:19)
God Bless, Believe it, Confess it, Work it, Know it, Live it!
